Purpose
CHALC is a safe space for creativity, competition, and community — especially for teens.
We design and operate the App in the best interests of children in line with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), and comply with the Online Safety Act 2023 (UK) and other applicable US child protection and privacy laws to protect users from illegal content and content harmful to children.
Age Requirements
• 13+ only
• 13–17: Verifiable guardian consent required
• Under 13: Strictly prohibited
We enforce this age limit through verifiable guardian consent as required by applicable laws, including the UK Online Safety Act 2023 for UK users and COPPA for children under 13 in the US.
Safety Rules — Strictly Prohibited
• Sexual content, nudity, exploitation
• Bullying, harassment, threats
• Hate speech, discrimination
• Violence, self-harm, dangerous challenges
• Spam, scams, doxxing
• Impersonation or fraud
We also prohibit all illegal content and content harmful to children under the Online Safety Act 2023 (UK) and applicable US laws (including state age-appropriate design codes where relevant).
Reporting & Moderation

• Reviewed by trained moderators within 24 hours
• Actions: warning, removal, suspension, ban

We apply these processes consistently and transparently as required by the Online Safety Act 2023 (UK) and applicable US child safety laws.
